The night will bring Broadway to Oakville! Five great singers in front of a big band will deliver songs like "Lullaby of Broadway," "That's Entertainment" and "There's No Business Like Show Business." Also, many of the beloved songs from Les Misérables, West Side Story, Guys and Dolls, The Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, Cats, The Sound of Music and My Fair Lady.
After two very successful seasons, West End Jazz moved to a new venue, the "Le Dome." It has better acoustics, room for us to grow, great food but still the same high quality of music that our audience is accustomed to.
The third show of the season will be dedicated to Shirley Horn, an American jazz singer and pianist. She was most noted for her ability to accompany herself with nearly incomparable independence and ability on the piano.
The musical director and featured vocalist of this event will be June Garber. Very few contemporary jazz singers can match Shirley Horn's unmistakable voice than Ms. Garber. To make the program more complete, June will be joined - as a special guest - by Peter Campbell, who recently released a very popular album "Loving You: Celebrating Shirley Horn." You do not want to miss this one.
Following his critically acclaimed 2017 recording, "Loving You: Celebrating Shirley Horn," vocalist Peter Campbell returns to 120 Diner for an evening of classic and contemporary songs. Joining him will be Adrean Farrugia on keyboards and Jordan O’Connor on bass. Suggested $10 cover or PWYC.
